Source hierarchy

Primary sources come first: manufacturer specification and build-and-price pages, owner manuals and warranty documents, NHTSA (recalls and complaints), IIHS (crash testing), and EPA/FuelEconomy.gov (efficiency). Reputable independent outlets are used for road tests, long-term reliability data, used-market pricing, and repair-cost estimates. Forums and social media may inspire questions but are never treated as proof of a defect or a price.

Every consequential number is traceable

Prices, fuel economy, power figures, dimensions, warranty terms, safety ratings, and repair estimates each map to a recorded source with the date it was accessed. Sources are listed visibly at the bottom of every article. When credible sources disagree, the page states the disagreement rather than quietly picking the convenient number.

Freshness and re-verification

Volatile facts are scheduled for re-checking: incentives roughly weekly, used-market values biweekly, MSRPs and recall status monthly, and model specifications at each model-year change. Every page shows a "facts verified" date, and that date changes only when the facts were actually re-checked, never because the site was rebuilt.

Uncertainty is stated

Where evidence is incomplete, early-production reliability, regional pricing, projected resale values, pages say so and explain the confidence level rather than projecting false precision.
